Champs had a very successful trip to the British Masters Championships at the National Watersports Centre. Ten crews made the journey to Nottingham, returning with a club-record four gold medals.
Cecile Jacklin won the Women’s C Novice single sculls by 6 seconds over Upton RC.
The Sunshine Crew followed up last year’s victory in the Women’s C Novice eights with another impressive win, this time as IM3.
The Veteran Men’s eight won the D IM3s, beating Tees RC by just over a second.
And the Moonshine crew won the B Novice eights by 4.5 seconds over a determined X-press crew. The winning time of 3:16.4 was the fastest ever by a Novice eight at National Masters, smashing the previous record (set by X-press in 2009) by nearly 10 seconds. Here are some pictures of the race:
